Certificates of Conformity are available upon request with all purchases made with Pure Baby Joy, effective February 10, 2009.
What is a certificate of conformity and why do I need one? A certificate of conformity verifies that the item that you are purchasing for a child under the age of 12 has undergone extensive lead and phalate testing as required under the new Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) that takes effect on February 10, 2009.
You do not need a copy for personal records, but you are welcome to request one to verify that the items that are being sold to you are 100% safe for your baby/child.
Is it required that every store/boutique/wahm offer me one? No. Not unless you specifically require to at least see one. Pure Baby Joy has decided that offering them to our clients/customers is a good business practice and offers parents peace of mind that the items that they are purchasing are 100% safe and meets the new safety requirements.
